Frog King

Frog King Kwok is one of Hong Kong’s most prominent experimental artists, working across a wide range of media including performance, installation, painting, and sculpture. Centered around his iconic alter ego, the “Frog King,” he has developed a distinctive artistic universe where art, play, life, and performance seamlessly converge.

His work is characterized by humor, spontaneity, freedom, and audience participation, constantly evolving through interaction and engagement with viewers. Under his concept of “Art as Play,” he regards art not as a fixed object or final product, but as a living process of action, experience, and exchange.

Freely traversing the boundaries between Eastern and Western cultures, popular culture and fine art, performance and visual expression, Frog King Kwok has established a unique visual language and powerful artistic identity. Through his innovative practice, he continues to shape a distinctive and influential presence within the landscape of contemporary experimental art.
