Geun-hwa Lee

Geun-hwa Lee explores the boundary between the unconscious and consciousness through the motif of the sea.

Her paintings reveal energy that seems to writhe and surge on the canvas, positioned between figurative and abstract.

Rather than depicting objects, her work expresses sensations emerging from within.

Immersed in this sea of the unconscious, she allows her art to emerge naturally as a result of inner flow.

Her practice resonates with a sensibility closely connected to nature, offering viewers a contemplative experience of both movement and stillness.
