Lee Jongmok

Artist Lee Jongmok explores the fundamental energy of nature and existence, expanding landscapes such as mountains, fields, and the sea into paintings that capture the cycle of life and the order of the universe rather than mere representation.

His work traverses the boundary between figuration and abstraction, revealing moments where the microscopic and macroscopic, creation and dissolution, order and chaos coexist on the canvas. In particular, the repeated flow of lines and color visually embodies the rhythm and vitality of nature, as well as the essential vibration of existence.

Rather than depicting the scenery before our eyes, Lee Jongmok’s paintings capture the time and energy that exist beneath the surface, and the sense of connection between humans and nature, creating a deep resonance.
